.The one in which ...?

• before we leave, the Chosen One hands a mysterious marble to *Oleg*
• spooky atmosphere in the fisher's village, all deserted
• *The Gab* touches a trail of liquid on the ground and is shook by nausea
• at the same time, a large steel claw pierces a wall and aims to squash our Rookie *?*
• *The Gab* pushes him out of the danger zone
• The rest of the team assembles to attack the piercing robot, bringing it down
• *Tyrius* inspects the robot; it's humanoid, but is/was never human; it has chameleon skin, a blade and a sub-sonic firearm; it seems like a smaller version of *?* we encountered earlier
• through some research we identify the direction of travel of the opposing forces; however, a large part of the traces lead back to the dock
• we follow the traces of the troups upstream along the river
• found a jeep! wonderful, faster travel
• *Oleg* drives, and drowns the car in the river when trying to avoid a group of enemies
• we end up ahead of the army, but there's a fork of the river between us; which way will they take?
• we haste to approach the fork to catch the troups before it
• in an elevated position, we watch the vanguard
• almost spotted! *Oleg* can draw a rookie back into cover in the last second
• the troups have four-legged robots as well as levitating spheres
• as we spot *?*, we are filled with dread and sickness
• *The Gab* collapses to the ground
• The mysterious object is a levitating (\~10m) shell, covered in tentacles/hoses
• *Oleg* pulls out a marble that he earlier got from the Chosen One
• The marble both seems to record the surroundings as well as protects our squad; amazing!
• after the opposing forces pass, *Amber* leads us back to safety
