= Day 25

.The one in which a star is born

== Mission: "Return to Amber Lodge", special humanitarian, (secondary)

• We sneakily enter the lab.
• *Eagle* is swiftly tied to the chair and hooked up to the Captive
• The procedure starts.
• *Eagle* is shaken around and seems to be fighting something inside him
• Images for in his head, mostly noisy static
• He manages to focus on some parts of this, and recognizes brighter shapes that phase in and out
• If he focuses directly, they burst into pointy shapes
• Instead, *Eagle* tries to calm his mind and think back about pleasant childhood experiences
• Suddenly, he gets attacked again by some kind of aggressive noise
• He can recover, but is in the defensive now
• Suddenly the whole building shakes. An explosion?
• And more are coming!
• Then *Weald* sees on the big monitor that the corridor outside falls into darkness. Uh oh.
• *Eagle* fends off another attack
• The white noise in his head seems to form facial shapes
• He forms in his head the image of a childhood-bully and tries to merge it with the adversary
• After that, he summons a huge gun and shoots the bully-image
• *Weald* and *Dania* barricade the door with some workstations
• *Eagle* sees the image (probably?) of the person that the construct used to be
• He tries to soothe them, but words seem to fail here
• We hear more noises from outside
• The enemy blows up a wall!
• Flying drones charge into the room
• *Weald* jabs *Viceroy* with some stimulating drugs
• Then *Viceroy* and *Dania* shred all-guns-ablaze the first drones to metal powder
• *Eagle* seems to recognize his late sister *KitKat* in the shapes
• Her shape also dissolves into a wafting shape. The wafting shapes seem to be a sort of ally, whereas the noise are aggressive adversaries
• The noise starts piercing *Eagles* mind again, but he fends it off easily
• The wafting shapes form again and seem to be encouraged by his defense
• More drones charge in
• *Dania* summons flashbang will-o'-wisps that zip around the drones and jam their sensors
• *Viceroy* and *Weald* pull their guns and shoot the drones. Or try to.
• The drones focus on the incoming fire and attack both *Viceroy* an *Weald*
• *Eagle* opens his arms again and tries to invite the shapes
• The shapes form interconnected humanoid(?) patches
• *Eagle* feels that he can form shapes as well
• He also percieves a strong sadness, from when he lost his sister
• *Eagle* tries to summon protecting images from the legion and his part, so intensely that they leave his mind and fade from his memory
• The Noise rears up one last time and *Eagle* realizes that the Captive let himself be captures! The Captive was only waiting to jump to a new host to create another corrupted adversary.
• The Captive physical body bursts and melts in a ball of plasma
• The cables connecting *Eagle* slide out of his body
• He falls to the ground unconciously
• While *Weald* distracts the drones, *Viceroy* and *Dania* shoot them to pieces
• We grab *Eagle* and GTFO of there
• Jumping into da choppah and off we go!

=== Back at Camp

• *Eagle* is now another Onona Fea, named Kal-y-Cen
• We are trekking towards Skydagger Peak
• A drone attack threatens the Legion Command Staff, but the squads can fight it off
• Later, at night, cultists start to swarm the legion
• The Silver Stags can fight them off, but a squad member falls. They need to fight off some more attacks, but manage without larger casualties
• The Ghost Wolves, supported by *Siv* collect some more stalker trophies
• More skirmishes at the back, but the Silver Stags have found their groove and manage to fend off all attacks
• Only one day to Skydagger Peak, a wild storm hits. So violent, it cannot be natural
• The Ghost Owls are now prowling at the front. The storm is so brutal, they didn't see the ambush. A soldier dies in the hail of bullets
• The Silver Stags at the end don't have a better fate, fighting with the storm and the enemy, they lose contact with the Legion. Cultists attack en masse and manage to kill a few Soldiers
• *Eagle* wakes up
• He has close to no memories of the Legion, but he recognizes Turma-o-Kal
• He promptly falls asleep again, sedated by our doctors
• More losses from the Ghost Owls at the vanguard
• The Silver Stags at the end of the trek managed to set an ambush and almost break their resistance
• By now, the drones seek an easier target and attack the Shattered Lions, picking off another squad member
• *Siv* realizes that the Shattered Lions under attack and tries to help them out
• They get absolutely showered by bullets. *Siv* is wounded and the whole squad is pinned down
• *Weald* comes to help, brings some support and manages to shred the drones
• *Weald* falls back to Legion Command
• A group of Hounds blocks our way and manages to shred another Ghost Owl
• In the meantime the Shattered Lions shred another Stalker attack
• *Siv* falls back, grabs some support from the Shattered Lions (that don't need it anymore), charges to the front and the group obliterates the Stalkers
• We finally arrive at Skydagger Peak!
• There are skirmishes around the peak. Ralim-o-Nore managed to fight his way to the south and secure the camp
• Bit by bit the whole Legion arrives
