Gwenn

Lady Gwenndolyn von Rabenzwist

Race: Human
Class: Sorcerer (Aberrant Mind)
Looks: Chestnut brown hair, age about 17, height about 1,6m, pleasant features but frail stature

Inherited mote of magic.

Ever since Gwenn has been born she was a conduit for order. Entropy seems to flow in the opposite direction when she is near. Flipped coins always land on heads, worn and dirty clothes lose their wrinkles and appear to be freshly washed and ironed after some time. The beds appear untouched after she slept in them. Rooms get cleaner and more orderly by her living in them.
Maybe this internal force of order was what saved her mind of the chaos that ensued on the Lord's banquet.

Personality Traits

In company Gwenn tries to be a respectable lady and to create an aura of sublimeness befitting a lady of her status. She behaves and makes pleasant conversation. But this is more a trained reflex than true conviction. Sure, by merit of her birth, she is accustomed to be regarded with respect, but she is aware that the regard of common folk might turn, should she slip just once. During her life at the Raventerrace, she rebelled against the strictures of the court but only behind closed doors. Thankfully, her father is not one to get tangled up in protocol either. So Gwenn was able to slip away from court more often than not and spend time with Glenn, her older half-brother. With him he was able to speak freely.IT was a good time. Even if he insisted to spend far to much time out in the wilderness. Gwenn envied him from his free range of the land and the only loose associated with the court. No one expects anything from him. Especially not to marry some drunken Oaf for politics.

Since the fateful night at the Lord's banquet, Gwenn's mote of magic has blossomed. The aberrant, corrupting whispers flooded her mind, but could not take hold of her. After the initial shock, she was left with a lingering connection to the far realm. Still hearing the beyond and learning from the horrid whispers flowing to her. Sometimes she believes she can focus on a single speaker who is closer than all the other voices. Only for a moment. Only when she used her newfound power, and conduits some magic from the far realm to this plane the alien voices stop and only her own voice remains booming through her mind. Surely feels like a power rush.

Ideals

At the best of times, Gwenn is compassionate, honest and dutiful.
Following three principles:

  • The Lords serve the land: The privileged have a duty to fulfill for their people and their land. Defend them, house them, feed them, guide them.
  • Honor-bound to the family: We are nothing without family ties. These cannot be compromised without giving up who we are.
  • The end justifies the means: The common folk relies on their betters to make hard choices. Sometimes the actions cannot be pure to achieve a purpose that is.

Bonds

Alaisdair is the main focal point of Gwenn. Children must obey their parents. Sometimes he can be reasoned with. Sometimes he can be swayed. But if the Lord has taken a decision Gwenn will follow. Especially the common folk cannot be allowed to see disagreement between their betters. Gwenn sees her father as a good man, who is not afraid to mark hard decisions.
But his unsophisticated, sometimes brutish nature might be a problem for him in the future. Maybe Gwenn can be a good daughter and lend him her council.

Glenn is a trusted friend. He might need Gwenn’s help, due to his inferior standing in the world. And his general poor way with words. And people.

Flaws

At the worst of times, Gwenn is condescending, ruthless, and egoistical.
