One Unique Thing

The seed of a powerful Archfey flows through me, so I will always father children.

Centuries ago, when the line of the Rabenzwists was young, Kalin, their current lord faced a problem: He had remarried twice but not produced an heir yet, and with no other living relatives, it seemed the line was about to die out. But Kalin was a renowned adventurer, and so he sought out an Archfey in the Feywilds to strike a bargain in which the Archfey would ensure that his line continues.

So Aodhan, a young Eladrin from the Archfey's court, was bound into an oath to keep the Rabenzwist line alive and take care of their dead, burying them in a sacred grove a few hours away from the castle, tending to the trees that grow there.

In the grove, a tree springs from the grave of every Rabenzwist ruler, and those with the right lineage can sometimes hear the trees whisper of the deeds of the Rabenzwist forebears.

To this day, Aodhan has kept his oath, ensuring that there is always an heir to the line, that all the dead are buried in the grove and that the "ancestor trees", by now counting in the dozens, are well cared for.
