  • trampling is blamed on Mica because the wounded beast had been calmed, and thinking it was sick she gave it a rather large amount of herbs to "make it lively again"
  • Itzel was able to deflect much of the blame by constructing death as "sign of disfavour", with suprise support by Ketzakuetl to lend weight to his words
